Sameer Jain, a PGDIM alumnus from batch 2005-06, is an accomplished salesperson and is an entrepreneur at heart. In his 15 years of experience, he has run startups and has worked for companies like PayTM, GroupM, and Dentsu. He is currently engaged as an Enterprise Sales Representative for a SaaS company called CleverTap. He led the discussion and educated the audience on the "Role of Mobile Marketing." He took our inputs through a Google Form at the beginning of the session to gauge the audience set. The discussion revolved around how mobile will become the dominating marketing channel in the future and how we, the students of PGDIM, can use this to advance our careers. Be it for hunting for a job or our zeel to start a business. He explained how mobile acts as a primary medium to acquire data to help personalize the communication and is the only channel that can be used for instant delivery of the personalized communication. Finally, he touched upon the digital marketing stack and how it all comes together in a business environment. At the end of the session, he had an open discussion with the students. He advised his juniors to get their hands dirty by starting businesses.
